For me, that’s making the bed or preparing a mouth-watering breakfast, whatever it is that makes me feel good. I used to be a morning person and early bird who set her alarm at 05:15. But ever since I have no office anymore to go to or any meetings to attend, I start out way more relaxed. With less incentive to rise early, the process of getting up can be gruesome at times. And I sure can be grumpy, too. But instead of fussing out over not achieving the perfect early-rise morning, I do something small that still makes me feel good.
It’s the little things that count
A positive morning ritual can be many things, and it doesn’t necessarily need to be the same thing every day. Make it your ritual to do something that feels good, and that’s all there is to it. Fewer expectations + less pressure = more room for joy 🙂 It could be any tiny gesture: send a feel-good message to your friend, take 5 minutes to sit and meditate, or prepare a coffee for someone you love.
Positivity is being here and now
When you are aiming to become more positive, take it day-to-day. If you experience something positive each day, you automatically accumulate lots of joyful moments. This way, starting a new day will become something to look forward to instead of another thing to dread. Your small day-to-day steps eventually lead to comprehending on how to have a positive mindset. Start by worrying less about the future and channeling your energy toward the now. Because recharging sparks your energy and provides you with renewed stamina for your positivity pursuit. Try to put out your feelers for these three things on the positivity path.

As soon as you get preoccupied with other things, try to steer back your attention to where you were: your journey, to a positive state of mind. Is your boss demanding something totally unrealistic?
